Are you an experienced veterinary technician / assistant who is committed to providing compassionate, quality care for dogs and cats? Are you willing and able to readily assist our skilled veterinarians and staff in exam rooms, surgery, radiography and the front desk? If the answer is "YES" we have an immediate opening in Aledo, TX for a Full-time (30+ hours per week) experienced Veterinary Technician / Assistant with Receptionist skills at Clear Fork Veterinary Clinic ("CFVC")!


CFVC, located in scenic Aledo, TX (near Walsh Ranch), is a spacious and privately owned small animal clinic managed by Dr. Darryl McEndree. We have proudly served the Parker/Tarrant County communities since 2018, and our practice is growing! Our purpose is exemplified daily through our passion for animals, and each team member possesses a servant's heart.


We provide comprehensive, full-life-stage care through wellness exams, dental, surgery, internal medicine, emergency, and diagnostic imaging. The ideal candidate will:

actively support veterinarians and staff in daily patient and client care.

communicate easily with clients and all aspects of pet health.

be an active listener, paying close attention to details.

check in patients, collect and record animals' case histories.

observe the behavior and condition of animals.

be calm, provide comfort and properly handle animals before, during and after procedures.

actively demonstrate dependability and importance of work to clients, supervisor, and co-workers.

take x-rays and perform laboratory tests.

prepare animals and instruments for surgery; monitor and track vitals following surgery.

easily adapt to whatever situation arises such as handling emergencies, taking initiative during light schedules or prioritizing duties during high call or in-person volume.

participate in cross-training to work in all areas of a veterinary clinic.


Skills and Qualifications:

Two years' experience in a veterinary setting

Excellent animal handling and restraint skills

Extensive surgical experience & knowledge

Strong computer skills

Familiarity with veterinary equipment and procedures

Exercise good judgment and be resourceful. Be able to look past any problem(s) and focus on a solution

Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties including radiography (x-ray)

Able to lift patients and carry equipment up to 40 pounds (with or without assistance)

Able to sit, stand, and walk on hard floor surfaces for extended periods

Able to type information for patient records and prescription label.

High School degree, or equivalent


The candidate for this position may be exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch, and on occasion, exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medication/controlled substances.


The hours of operation for the clinic are Monday through Friday 8 am until 5:30 pm and Saturdays 8 am until noon. Availability for a rotating Saturday shift is required.


Background and drug testing required.
